What I’d Like To Do
Saw this on another post and thought I’d recreate it here. Here’s a list of things I’d like to accomplish this year. Not a new year’s resolution list, but just a list that I hope to see accomplished if not this year then soon.
1. Write a book. This is actually foremost on my mind right now as I am in the actual process. Not sure if it will ever get picked up by a publisher, but it would be nice. Right now though, the focus is just on getting the material written.
2. Get interrupted more by my girls. I have a standing policy that my girls can interrupt me any time I am working in my office. As I do work from my home office a lot, there is plenty of room here for improvement. Their interruptions help me remember exactly why I am working in the first place.
3. Learn to communicate GREAT with my wife. If good is the enemy of great, then I have a very difficult task ahead of me as we do seem to communicate pretty well already, but there is always room for improvement.
4. Post something on my own blog every single day. I understood the difficulty of this task before I began, and while I was not going to do it initially, my own brother kinda talked me into setting it as a goal, so, I took up the challenge. So far so good, but it hasn’t been easy. Would like to find the discipline to keep it up.
5. Find a way to make $300 more per week. I have personal reasons for this, but if it can be done, I am going to do it.
6. Read good books that will help me accomplish any of the above tasks. Someone out there knows a lot about what I need to know, just figuring out which books will help me set my compass correctly will be enough of a challenge, and actually reading them will be another.
So, let’s have it! What would you like to see accomplished in your own life, if not this year, then sometime very soon?
Oooh I really like #3. I would probably make that my #1. So
1. Communicate and connect better with my wife more frequently and with more intent.
2. To be a better friend. This involves communication for me but mainly time. Which I am somewhat short on but very selfish with.
3. To get to know the one who created me better.
4. I would love to say read more books but with the above list that seems a little daunting.
Oh, this list could get gigantic! I like “get to know the one who created me better”
