Ok for those of you who don’t know Derek Webb just came out with a new album that’s caused a bit of controversy. The above are 3 of my favorites off the album. The song that is making a bit of a problem is What Matters More. The album Stockholm Syndrome is really good though. Derek did an amazing job marketing this with a 4 month scavenger hunt/puzzle solving adventure across the US and the web. If you want to read more on that you can read it here, if you want to get the nitty gritty on it you can do it here.

What Matters Most is kinda based on the quote by Tony Campolo below, you can read more about that here.

According to a profile in Christianity Today entitled “The Positive Prophet,” Campolo would often begin a speech this way: “I have three things I’d like to say today. First, while you were sleeping last night, 30,000 kids died of starvation or diseases related to malnutrition. Second, most of you don’t give a shit. What’s worse is that you’re more upset with the fact that I said shit than the fact that 30,000 kids died last night.”

Hope you enjoy let me know what you think. Oh yeah and can I just say how cool it is that it says “I wholly support and encourage the free distribution and consumption of music. Please share this record.” In the liner notes.
