Sabbath Rest
Yes, yes you can call me a horrible Christian later, but I so easily forget about resting on the Sabbath. I don’t put much weight on it, but God does. So much so its in his top 10 things I should and shouldn’t do. So if this is so important to Him why is it so unimportant to me?
Last year, my wife and I actually committed to trying to keep the Sabbath. We have been fairly successful. I think what makes the difference is that we are accountable to each other. Quite frankly, we still have times when we start to stress out about the work we aren’t doing (especially when I look at my yard!)
Yeah it’s tough. I was in the same situation yesterday. We are trying to get some stuff done around the house before Thursday and it was really hard for me to take yesterday off and not work on it. Although I did have a very restful day and I do think that is really helpful.
