I Need Rest
- Rest from work.
- Rest from numbing.
- Rest from the turmoil that can be in relationships.
- Rest from uncertainty.
- Rest from certainty.
- Rest from sin.
- Rest from myself.
I just wish I could be quiet and rest in the arms in Christ.
What do you need rest from?
- I need rest from fixing things that I could never fix in the first place.
- I need rest from the connected age where people aren’t able to really connect (though I have installed twitter in the last couple days…sigh)
- I need rest from keeping up with entertaining myself (one of the sadder commentaries on my life)
But with all of this, God is good and moving. Most of the tiring things in my life are worthwhile and exciting from a kingdom perspective. Awesome.
I need rest from feeling like I have to fix everything (Messiah Complex maybe?)
I think thats just a man complex.
